Jum Island or Pu Island is situated in between Krabi town and Lanta Island not far from the famous island of Koh Phi Phi Island in the Andaman Sea of Thailand. The northern part of the Jum Island is mountainous and called Ban Island Pu Island with its highest elevation reaching 395 m. The southern part of Jam Island is flat and covered by the natural vegetation of the Andaman Sea Coast, that consists of towering casuarina trees and screw palms. This part is called Ban Jam Island and is around 30 square kilometers in size.

The island is still an unspoiled hide-away for travelers which prefer a quiet and relaxed vacation just enjoying the beach and the magnificent sunsets over the Andaman Sea.

How to get there
Jum Island is easiest reached by one of the daily boats from Krabi pier to Lanta Island, that pass Jam Island and regularly stop in front of the resorts. The way overland by bus to Laem Kruat Village and by boat from there to Phu Island Village is not really convenient, but the only way to reach Jum Island Thailand during the monsoon season.

How to get there
From Ao Nang you can get a return longtail boat to Kai Island. The longtail boats usually won't leave until there is a minimum of 8 people in the boat, so you may have to wait for others before the driver will leave. If you don't want to wait for other passengers you can hire a longtail boat with a driver for the day to take you to all four islands for 2,200 baht.

This is a great way to see the islands and you are assured of a wonderful day snorkeling, swimming and exploring Krabi’s beautiful offshore islands. You can catch a longtail boat from Klong Muang, Nopparat Thara and the Railay Beaches or if you are staying in Krabi Town at the Chao Fah pier.

Mu Koh Hong is located at the edge of the Than Bok Khorani National Park, and is accessible by a 1-hour boat trip from Ao Nang. The park entrance fee is 200 baht per person with an additional fee of 20 baht per person for camping on the island.

How to get there
Located 46 km from the provincial town of Krabi, Mu Ko Hong is situated at Than Bokkhorani, Ao Luek Tai sub district, a distance from the Talat Ao Luek Intersection. Proceed along the Ao Luek - Laem Sak route for 1 km. Alternatively, take the local taxi or Song Thaeo ride (Krabi – Ao Luek Neua – Tai) from Mueang district and get off at the park’s entrance.

As Poda Island is one of Krabi’s main tourist attractions; it can get somewhat busy.

The best spot for swimming and snorkeling at Poda Island is either at the northern beach in front of the towering limestone islet that sits just offshore or along the eastern facing beach.

How to get there
From Ao Nang you can get a return longtail boat to Poda Island. The only downside to this is you may have to wait for other passengers to join you before the boat will leave, which is normally a minimum of eight people. Or alternatively you can charter a longtail boat with a driver to take you island hopping to all four islands. Longtail boats can also be found at Klong Muang, Nopparat Thara and the Railay beaches or at the Chao Fah pier in Krabi Town.

How to get there
Charter a private longtail boat : Take a songthaew to Nua Klong (on the southern highway towards Trang), where you can transfer to another songthaew to the coastal village of Laem Kruad; from there hire a longtail or wait for the somewhat scheduled ferry over to the east shore of Siboya Island. Then hitch a ride with a local, walk the 3 Km or call Siboya Bungalows for a pick-up.

How to get there
Long-tail boat ferries make daily trips to Yao Noi from Bang Rong Pier on the east coast of Phuket. From the airport, a taxi will take you to the pier in 25 minutes. To get to the pier, take route 4027 east from the Heroines' Monument, then turn right at the sign for Bang Rong (or Bangrong) and follow along for a few kilometers.

How to get there
There are two piers from Phuket to Yao Yai Island: Jianwanich Pier and Bangrong Pier, but we recommend Jianwanich pier as the ferry goes directly to the gathering place. The ferry from Bangrong pier mainly goes to Yao Noi Island, and only stops at the other side of Yao Yai Island which is 25 kms away from the gathering place.

Mosquito Island is Phi Phi Island’s remotest. Mosquito Island is a limestone cliff rock about 700 meters long. It has 2 small beaches that are covered in Mosquitoes at sunset and hence gives it it’s name.

The views around of Bamboo Island and Tong Cape (Laem Tong), the northern tip of Phi Phi Don where the more exclusive Phi Phi resort are set. There are some mooring buoys off the south eastern shoreline where longtail boats can tie up for snorkeling but even still this is one of Phi Phi’s quietest beach locations . There is an abundance of soft corals here, formed due to the strong tides that sweep down past the island every day from the Andaman Sea and Phang Nga Bay.
Diving on Mosquito Island is mainly confined to the north eastern tip where there is a 3 headed pinnacle at 9-14 meters below low tide. Here there are schools of juveniles that swarm over the rocks that make diving here a great pleasure. Black tip sharks can be seen regularly in the northern cove.

Mosquito Island is about 4 km away and is usually reached by the traditional longtail boat (approx. 20 minutes) or by speedboat (approx. 10 minutes). The reef drops off to 14 metres and is covered with hard and soft corals. Only 1km north-west of Mosquito Island lies Mosquito Pinnacle. This site drops down to a depth of 25 metres. Here you will find multi-coloured soft corals, sweetlips, giant morays and blue spotted stingrays.

Ha Island (which means "Five Islands" in Thai) is rather confusingly made up of six small islands that lie due West of Koh Lanta. This charming group of islands provides several good dive sites that range in ability level from gentle beginner dives from the lagoon area to deeper, more advanced dives, through caves and caverns, to a maximum depth of 34 meters.

Most popular for its great visibility, usually over 20 meters, Ha Island offers many tiny animals like Ghost Pipe fish, little Shrimps and plenty of Nudibranches. There are also beautiful corals, Lion fish, Sea Snakes and Turtles. On island number 5 you have the famous Cathedral Cavern, where inside you can ascend to the surface into this huge chamber with stalactites. From here you can see the beautiful green and blue light coming in through the entrance of the cavern.

Kradan Island is the most beautiful island in the Trang. With an area of 600 acres. most of the island (5/6) is under the jurisdiction of Hat Chao Mai National Park. The rest are privately owned rubber and coconut plantations. The island offers good restaurants and accommodation for tourists. The most striking feature of Kradan Island is its powdery, White beach and crystal clear water that permits a great view of the coral reef underneath that stretches from the beach's northern end to the coast. A variety of colourful fish inhabit the shallow water corals.

Mook Island is located in Trang Province about an hours boat ride from Lanta Old Town. With the exception of a small sandy peninsula to the east, most of the island is mountainous. The only village, including a police station, a health center, 2 schools and 2 mosques, occupies this area of flat land and borders two beaches, namely Ao Klang (Klang Bay) and Ao Huanon (Huanon Bay). The north and north-west of the island has sheer cliffs dropping to the water making the coast impossible to walk. The village of Mook Island is about 300 buildings strong. The rest of the island is composed of lush forests, rocks and cliffs – a natural habitat for swallows.
The island also shelters the fascinating underground cave of Morakot, whose narrow entry is just the right size to allow small boats or adventurous swimmers to enter. Most are anxious to admire the sights at low tide: an emerald sea encircled by a gorgeous white sand beach and surrounded by high cliffs.

How to get there
You can fly directly from Bangkok to Trang Airport one flight a day with the exception of Friday, Saturday and sunday. From the airport the bus will take about 45 minutes to reach the Kuantungku pier and then a longtail boat for 40 minutes to Mook Island. Or you can fly from Bangkok to Krabi airport (two flights a day) and the bus will transfer you (approximately one hour) to Kuan Tungku Pier and then another 40 minutes by longtail boat to Mook Island. You might prefer a night train from Bangkok railway station to Trang town or an air-conditioned bus from the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok to Trang town from where the bus will transfer you to Kuan Tungku pier to board a longtail boat to Mook Island.

Ngai Island also known as Hai Island is a charming island with a dramatic interior and very-clean sandy beach along its eastern coast. Ngai Island is just to the north of Kradan Island in the Trang provinces. A small, triangular island, less than 5 square kilometres in size, Ngai Island has a forested interior and offers white-sand beaches alongside clear water. A ring of bright coral, excellent for snorkelling, circles Ngai Island and the visibility in the turquoise water is excellent. At Ngai Island, you will find a wide range of activities including Scuba Diving Lessons, Diving tours, Snorkeling, Sea Canoes, Daily Boat tours, Swimming and Jungle Trekking. One of the biggest attractions is the short boat journey to the Emerald Cave, a miracle of Nature nestled inside one of the Islands. The Cave opens up into a Valley and counted as an unseen attracting place.
Ngai Island is under responsibility of Mu Koh Lanta National Park, Lanta District, Krabi Province but is considered the tourist attraction of trang Sea since transportation from Trang is more convenient. Ngai Island is the island of quiet atmosphere full of fertile shallow water coral reef. The eastern beach is about 2.2 km of white clean sand with the range of coral reef lying ahead of the shore where many resorts are situated.

From Lanta Island By speed boat package and big passenger boat from Ban Saladan Pier daily in the high seasons leaing Lanta Island at about 09.00 hours. From Trang to Kradan Island On arrival in Trang, you will need to head for Pak Meng Beach. From here regular boats leave for Kradan Island.

The twin limestone islands 30 kms south of Koh Lanta Yai are named Rok Nok Island (Nok means outside) and Rok Nai Island (Nai means inside) with only 100 metres between them. There are almost no people living on Rok Island, only the Marine Park Rangers reside here, leaving the islands to remain unspoiled. Rok Nok Island has some beautiful beaches to offer, Ao Man Sai Beach in particular is ranked in the top ten most beautiful beaches in Thailand. This long beach has real white powder sands and crystal clear waters, with a fairly shallow tide rich with fabulous corals offshore.
The beach is verdant with rainforest and mangrove tree, and just a few steps walk into the forest enables you to see a jungle of huge banyan trees, about 6 metres wide, which gives the beach its name. A little further into trees brings you to another beach named Tha Lu Bay. The sands here are shaped like a horseshoe and surrounded by black limestone cliffs.

Rok Nai Island is just 100 metres away and can be easily swum across to. One particularly beautiful beach here is named Sarn Chao Bay (Spirit House Beach). The fishermen built spirit houses here to protect their warships and eventually the beach was named after the tradition.

At the southern-most end of this island there is some stunning geography and a pole mark which points to the end of Thai land. Between these two islands is a snorkellers’ paradise with its’ glass-clear waters and visibility of up to 20 metres. The long reef extends for a square mile with both soft and hard corals. and hard corals.

From Koh Lanta : In the tour season between November and may, there is the package tour service from Sala Dan Pier at Koh Lanta Yai to Koh Lanta (one day tour) by speedboats taking about one hour. The tour includes lunch, beverage, fruit and skin diving facilities. In case of the group tour, contact for boat renting at Sala Dan Pier while the rate will be later set. This is the other part of beach of Rok Nok Island which has a long beach with a mixed species of beach forest, mud-beach forest and monsoon forest. The sea in this area is very shallow. If you walk into this forest, you will find a big tree so called "Ton Sai" (Ficus sp.) which has a lot of roots droped from its branch, let it looks like a big curtain with 5-6 meters width.

In the front is coral reef for a dive to view the splendid underwater world.

It is also famous in the itinerary of many kayak and long tail trips originating from Lanta Old Town. Talabeng Island does have a few small beaches and during a low tide it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing swim next to the magnificent sheer cliffs. For the more daring you could explore some steep cliffs by foot and rope and visit a intriguing cave located at Talabeng Noi. Keep and look-out for small grey Macaw monkeys clinging to the rocks. It takes just a few hours to explore this fascinating island and you can do so during the Green Season as Talabeng Island is located on the East coast of Lanta Island and is not exposed to the open ocean, which makes it safe to visit by boat any time of the year.
